As a Chief Accountant at Grandeur Hotel, you will play a crucial role in the financial management and strategic decision-making processes. You will be responsible for advising the management and leadership team on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, and policy matters. Your expertise will help analyze various proposals, such as leasing and contracting, to identify cost reduction opportunities.

One of your key responsibilities will be the preparation of a Break-Even Analysis for events and year-to-date performance. This analysis will provide valuable insights into the financial health of the hotel and guide future strategies. Additionally, you will prepare monthly reports and MIS reports to monitor performance efficiency.

As the Chief Accountant, you will oversee compliance with financial policies and controls, ensuring that all accounting services, payment processing, payroll, accounts payable, and purchasing functions operate smoothly. You will also be responsible for organizing and directing the work of the Accounts Department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

To excel in this role, you must have a strong understanding of capital investment and its impact on revenue. You will analyze investment opportunities and monitor their yield, providing valuable input for decision-making processes. Your expertise in cash flow management will be crucial as you prepare cash flow reports on a fortnightly basis to ensure the availability of funds for hotel operations.

Another essential aspect of the role is acting as the main point of contact for queries related to financial matters, both internally and externally. You will collaborate with external government institutions and oversee internal and external audits. Your attention to detail will be key in reviewing and approving payment transactions, including reimbursements, payments on accounts, vouchers, and checks.
